Going on a trip assembled by these guys took me from “I’d love to play there someday” to “That was the trip of a lifetime,” and gives you memories and stories you’ll be telling for years.

    Staying on property at Lawsonia in Wisconsin was surreal. Being right on Green Lake, with access to both The Links and The Woodlands, already felt special, but the real memory came after a full day of golf. We ended the night watching Red Team vs Blue Team in a shootout after playing Stevens Point Country Club. Half of us were barefoot, all of us were riding the high of a long day on the course, and everyone was fully invested, hooting and hollering for their teammates. It was competitive, chaotic, and pure fun.

    Anyone who loves competition will appreciate the structure of the games and the scoring system to match. Team camaraderie is something a lot of middle-aged and older men miss from their younger days, so having that team bonding throughout the trip made it even more special.

    The 82-foot putt I drained on the second day while playing alternate shot. It was the longest putt I’ve ever made… the screaming and excitement from my golf partner afterward was absolutely priceless.

    Anyone that is trying to get more out of golf and what it truly offers with travel among a group of friends, CGT is the one stop shop. Most golf trips are a pain to coordinate and like pulling teeth for the most part.

    The organization of this trip and the amount of thought put in is what made it really special. The competitive theme of the trip is the best part. Even the weakest link can have the biggest impact just feeding off the energy. Every round was exciting, and none of my group ever felt tired of playing.

    I think a lot more people would be on board for something well formatted to take the guess work out of it. And the less work I have to do, the better!
